Carrying We the People around the world (literally!)
As the Center for Civic Education enters its 40th year of We the People, we're spotlighting some alumni who carry its lessons with them (sometimes literally). For Katherine Ntiamoah, that meant packing her original We the People textbook to all 11 of her diplomatic postings as a U.S. Diplomat.
Katherine credits We the People as her first hands-on encounter with constitutional philosophy and civil discourse.
Teachers: Bring America's 250th to Life in Your Classroom
Teaching250 is a new collection of free, ready-to-use civic lessons created by educators in partnership with the Center for Civic Education, the National Constitution Center, and Civics Renewal Network partners.
Each inquiry-based lesson combines compelling questions, primary sources, and trusted classroom resources to help students connect our nation's founding principles to issues that matter today.
Constitution Day at the Reagan Presidential Library
The Center is once again partnering to present at the annual Constitution Day Mini-Conference held at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum in Simi Valley, California.
California educators can join us in person on Saturday, Sept. 19, for workshops and classroom resources designed to help elementary, middle and high school teachers grow their practice and their network.
Teaching250 webinar
Join the Center on Thursday, July 9 at 7 p.m. Eastern for our free Teaching250 webinar. In this webinar, participants will hear from educators behind the inquiry-based lessons and explore how to use the lessons in K-12 classrooms.
