The We the People Alumni Network connects hundreds of thousands of alumni across every generation — from last year's national finalists to leaders who took the floor decades ago — all united by the same foundational belief: that an informed, engaged citizenry is the cornerstone of constitutional democracy.

We the People alumni go on to lead in law, government, education, business, advocacy, and public service. What they share isn't a career path—it's a civic identity, forged in the hours they spent learning what it really means to be part of a self-governing people.
We the People has reached more than 40 million students since 1987.
Alumni span all 50 states and dozens of countries.

Nominations for the We the People Alumni Awards are Now Open !
While all We the People Alumni are top tier, do you know of an alum who stands out? The We the People Alumni Network will be accepting nominations from October 1st through November 30th, 2026 We the People Alumni Awards. One honoree from both categories will be selected.
Outstanding Young Alumni Award—To recognize an alum who has distinguished themself through service to their community, their country, or to society at large. For alumni 18–34 years of age at the time of nomination.
Cincinnatus Award—Created to honor an alumnus/a who has provided extraordinary service to the world and who represents the ideals of virtuous service to benefit the common good. For alumni over 35 years of age.
Awards will be announced during the We the People National Finals in April 2027.
Nominate exceptional alumni through this nomination form before November 30, 2026.

Nominators may include supporting documents and URLs by submitting them through this survey or emailing them to Development@civiced.org. If emailed, please include both the nominee’s and nominator’s names in the email subject line.
Nominees can nominate themselves.
Because not all nominees will receive an award, keeping the nomination confidential is strongly recommended.
These awards are granted only once per recipient and cannot be conferred again in subsequent years. However, prior applicants and nominees who were not previous winners are warmly encouraged to resubmit.
Members of the Selection Committee are ineligible for nomination.
