Your interest and dedication to studying the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights is a necessary part of becoming an enlightened citizen. We hope you enjoy reading the We the People: The Citizen & the Constitution textbook and participating in the simulated congressional hearing as a part of the We the People program.

The We the People Resource Center for high school students contains a variety of links to biographieshistorical documents, images, and first-hand accounts of the events that influenced our nation's history. Also included are links to sites that will enhance your understanding of the role of the citizen in contemporary America and your own responsibilities as an informed member of society.

We hope that you will explore these resources and, in so doing, expand your understanding of the people and events that shaped our nation. Additional resources for students, including educational games that are related to
the Center's other programs will be included here when
they become available.
