How to Get Involved Print

The program enjoys the active participation of members of Congress, as well as support from educational, professional, business, and community organizations across the nation. Policy makers play a very important role in helping to make sure that schools are enabling effective civic engagement for students.

At the local level contact your state and/or congressional district coordinators for more information and suggestions on effective participation. Some ways to get involved include visiting your local school's social studies, civics, and government classrooms; judge and/or speak at a school, congressional district, or state simulated congressional hearing; and work to strengthen policies that promote civic education.
