The program enjoys the active participation of members of Congress, as well as support from educational, professional, business, and community organizations across the nation. Policy makers play a very important role in helping to make sure that schools are enabling effective civic engagement for students.

At the local level contact your state and/or congressional district coordinators for more information and suggestions on effective participation. Some ways to get involved include visiting your local school's social studies, civics, and government classrooms; judge and/or speak at a school, congressional district, or state simulated congressional hearing; and work to strengthen policies that promote civic education.
