You Can Help

You can support We the People nationally and in your community. Whether you give your time or your voice, it’s easy—and rewarding—to support We the People. Start by filling out the form below.

By signing up, you consent to receive periodic email alerts from the Center for Civic Education. Your contact information will be shared with our We the People state coordinators, who may contact you and ask for your help. You may opt out at any time.

Give Time

When you sign up as a Friend of We the People, we will add you to our mailing list. You will receive a newsletter and occasional requests for assistance with information on how to help us. For example, you might be asked to contact your member of Congress to solicit support for funding of student participation in the We the People competition at state and national levels.

You might also be asked by your We the People state coordinator to help in gaining state-level support for the program from your state legislature as has been provided in an increasing number of states. They might also ask for you help in gaining support from other public- or private-sector sources in your state. Finally, they might ask you to volunteer to assist their programs at local and state levels or to serve as a judge at the national-level competition.
