Project Citizen is a civic education curricular program for middle-grade students and youth organizations. Project Citizen promotes competent and responsible participation in local and state government. It enables young people to monitor and influence public policy. The curriculum involves an entire class of students or group members in a series of structured, cooperative-learning activities guided by teachers, organization leaders, and adult volunteers.

Parent support is invaluable in each student’s quest to learn about public policy in their neighborhood.
