More than 250 students from 31 countries gathered in Washington, D.C., to participate in Empowering a New Generation for Democracy: The International Project Citizen Showcase, July 16-17. Project Citizen is an interactive civic education program developed by the Center for Civic Education that engages young people around the world in the civic life of their communities.
