Center Announces New We the People Programs State Coordinators
Alabama
Louis Smith Jr., Professor of Education at the University of West Alabama, is the new Alabama Project Citizen state coordinator. Jan Bedford will continue to act as state coordinator in an advisory role.

Arizona
Jennifer Nickason, Program Manager at the Arizona Foundation for Legal Services and Education, is the new Arizona We the People: Project Citizen state coordinator. Susan Nusall, Law-Related Education Program Manager at the foundation, remains the We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution state coordinator.

California
David Richmond, former We the People district coordinator, institute director, and teacher, is the new California state coordinator for the We the People Programs.

Connecticut
Julie Jaquish joined James Schmidt as the We the People Programs state co-coordinator in Connecticut.

Delaware
Patricia Quann, Executive Director of the Delaware Law Related Education Center, is the new Delaware Project Citizen state coordinator. Chris Kenton, Social Studies Specialist for the Lake Forest School District, is the We the People state coordinator. Former State Coordinator Lewis Huffman has relocated to a position within the South Carolina Department of Education.

Idaho
Peter Kavouras, Social Studies Coordinator at the Idaho State Department of Education and a former We the People district coordinator and teacher, is the new Idaho We the People state coordinator. Dan Prinzing is now the Education Director of the Idaho Human Rights Education Center and remains the Project Citizen state coordinator.

Iowa
Lois Crowley and Marlene Johnson are the new We the People state co-coordinators for Iowa. Former We the People State Coordinator Linda Martin will remain as the Project Citizen state coordinator.

New Hampshire
Patty Wooster is now the New Hampshire We the People Programs state coordinator. She is the Law-Related Education Coordinator at the New Hampshire Bar Association. Former We the People Programs State Coordinator Valenda Morrisette has taken an advisory role for the next year to help Wooster transition into her new position. Morrisette has become a Project Citizen district coordinator in Iowa, where she now resides.

South Dakota
Michelle Pollard of the South Dakota Humanities Council is the new We the People state coordinator. Don Simmons served as state coordinator for the past three years. DeVee Dietz, Civic Education Director for the Chiesman Foundation for Democracy, is the new South Dakota Project Citizen state coordinator. Patty Pearson served as the state coordinator for the past three years.
