We the People Arizona State Title Captured by Corona del Sol High School

Corona del Sol High School in Tempe, Arizona won the Arizona State We the People Competition on January 6. Arizona Supreme Court Chief Justice Rebecca Berch was the key note speaker.

Ten classes competed at the event held at Grand Canyon University.

Winning teacher Tim Smith is a veteran social studies teacher who over the course of 25 years has coached 18 We the People classes at Corona del Sol and taken five to the national finals, with one top ten finisher.

Those wishing to support Corona del Sol High School’s We the People team and its upcoming trip to the 25th Anniversary We the People National Finals in Washington, D.C., may do so with a tax-deductible contribution (tax ID no. 86-6000536).
