Summer Online Course: Educating for Informed & Equitable Voting

Jun 11, 2019 / E-news

Teachers and schools play a large part in increasing students’ engagement as citizens, voters, and participants in government.

This is the premise of a new course by the University of California, Riverside, Civic Engagement Research Group (CERG), the Tufts University Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement (CIRCLE) and the University of California, Los Angeles, Institute for Democracy, Education, and Access (IDEA). For six weeks, from June 17–28, participants will focus on material related to voter mobilization, informing youth about issues on the ballot, resources available to teachers about elections and voting, and more!
