Project Citizen Workshop to Be Held in Wisconsin

Thanks to a grant from the Wisconsin Humanities Council, a Project Citizen teachers’ workshop will be held on November 12 in Madison.

Thanks to a grant from the Wisconsin Humanities Council, a Project Citizen teachers' workshop will be held on November 12 in Madison.

There is no fee for the workshop. Expenses will be paid by Civics in Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Humanities Council. Each participant will receive workshop materials, a Project Citizen sample text, guidelines for meeting Wisconsin’s Model Academic Standards for Social Studies and Language Arts, and methods to use the materials in a variety of courses. The deadline to sign up for the workshop is November 4, 2016. Visit the Civics in Wisconsin website for more information.

Wisconsin will also hold the Project Citizen State Hearing Showcase on April 29, 2017, in Madison.
